Generating 180 million kilowatt-hours of energy from renewable sources

According to the latest statistics of the development of renewable power plants, generated electricity from clean sources has reached 180 million kilowatt-hours in July 2021.

Public Relations and International Affairs Office of SATBA reported that the latest status of renewable energy development in Iran indicates that generating about 180 million kilowatt-hours of renewable energy has prevented the emission of 116 thousand tons of greenhouse gases and 800 tons of local pollutants in July 2021.

It is worth mentioning that the generation of this amount of renewable energy has saved 40 million liters of water in July and has saved 51 million cubic meters of fossil fuels equivalent to natural gas.

The number of renewable generators for subscribers has reached 5,378 units with a total capacity of 70,800 kW by the end of July 2021.
